Looking to install a cat flap in the back kitchen door. The door is double glazed uPVC and looking on here I saw someone say that he wouldn't recommend installing a cat clap in double glazing due to the loss of the inert gas in the double glazing, and also the stress it would put the glass under from the cats using it. So I was thinking about getting a glass fitter to remove the double glazing panel and fit a uPVC panel in its place with a cut out for the cat flap. Is this a good way to go about it and if it is does anybody know how much it would cost to do it?
