locking mechanism seems to have snapped on UPVC patio door. it inside the plastic on the edge and the 'bolts' are the type that come out horizontally from the door rather than shoot up and down into the frame. is it usually a case of taking the door off to get to it or can it usually be simply replaced
edit: its not fixed externally with screws, the mechanism is actually inside the frame of the door
